Finally… after more than two months of waiting, naka-post wedding pictorial na rin kami last Sunday. Na-busy ksi ang aming photographer (Apple) ksi he opened a studio here in Gensan (visit kayo sa Ritratto Studio). Last Sunday, Job and I woke up around 4:30am… sunrise ksi plano ni Apple na kunan kmi ng pics sa beach. Kasama namin sina Cheyeanne at QQ kaya maaga rin silang nagising. Grabe until 2pm ang aming pictorial at super adventure talaga. Here are some pics na kinunan ni Chey at QQ. Next time i’ll post yung galing sa photographer namin.

Usually travel agents are supposed to assemble cheap travel deals suitable to a client. From hotel reservations to tickets, managing these arrangements as well as other travel accessories become the agent’s responsibility once he takes over.

Last night, I received a text from my father telling me that my younger brother John Mark has passed the nursing board exam. To confirm (just making sure because I thought this was just Papa’s wishful thinking for his only son… you know what I mean), I called my sister to check the result in the internet. When it was confirmed, I called Jam (we call my bro by this name) and congratulated him. Now we have a registered nurse in the family… congratz and we are so proud of you Jam!

This is my brother… isn’t he handsome?

Last time I promised to post a picture of my brother-in-law (Kuya Russel) who is in Japan right now. We celebrated his 32nd birthday last August 23. At kahit nasa malayo sya, naka-blow pa rin sya ng candles nya sa kanyang cake. That’s the power of the internet and webcam. Here’s the evidence:

I am married to Job exactly 2 months and 9 days now. A lot of things have happened to me since I decided to tie the knot. I moved to Gensan from Davao leaving my family and friends… I gave up my career saying goodbye to a good position and a job for 5 years… be a full-time wife and live a life that is very “domestic” :) Sabi ko nga sa mga friends ko, ako’y aliping namamahay na ngayon… hehehe.

Some of them would ask me if I am happy and if there are any regrets? Ingon pa sa uban, “nagpakalisud pa ka sa UP human nag-housewife ka lng”… huhuhu (napakasakit kuya Eddie). But you know what, despite all these changes and sacrifices I can say I am happy and fulfilled. Bitaw.. sa tinuod lng gyud. I am also surprised with this kind of revelation sa akong sarili. It’s a different kind of happiness and fulfillment you get… dili nako kaya i-explain, hehehe.

I must admit that a lot of times I think of my career and my desire to work abroad. Sometimes I get teary-eyed when I think of my friends and their “bonggang” careers now especially when they talk about promotions, increasing salaries, travels, etc. Hahay… but at the end of the day, I realized that these are not just the bases of experiencing real joy in your life.

Being married brought a lot of realizations to me. And one of these is that marriage does improve us. Few days ago I was reading my daily devotions when I came across with this author talking about how marriage improves us. He said that being married changes us, not because being changed is our goal but because of who we are in relationship with. When someone truly loves and accepts you, your defenses go down and you’re more likely to change.

I agree with this author. Job and I have many differences and there many times when we argue. But the good thing despite our differences we do complement and understand each other. Kung mag-away man, magkaayos lng gihapon before mangatulog :) I believe I am a better person now because of my husband and because of this marriage. I am learning a lot and I’m looking forward for more adventures in this marriage :)

Just this month, hubby’s cousin went to Australia to work there. He emailed us these beautiful pictures and told us that these are some of the beautiful things you can experience in Australia.

opera-house.jpg harbour.jpg kangaroo.jpg beach.jpg

After seeing these photos now I want to go to this land and experience the Aussie adventures. I’ve heard and read a lot about Australia and I learned that it is one of the best tourist destinations in the world offering a variety of fun and excitement. You can take a swim at their white sand beaches, have an encounter with the kangaroos, stroll in the big city where you can find museums, opera house and fine dining, experience desert tour and a whole lot more.

I’m sure when visiting Australia, accommodation is not a problem at all for there are lots of very affordable hotels there. Hubby’s cousin recommended Sydney Hotels saying they have the best to offer at a very reasonable price. I’ve also done some research on the internet and I found that you can also find good accommodations at Melbourne Hotels and Brisbane Hotels, depending on which place do you want to explore.

Let’s experience Australia now! :)

It’s almost 12mn now and my stomach is still very full. Well, hubby and I went to my brother-in-law’s (Kuya Russ) house to celebrate his 32nd birthday. It’s just a simple dinner with the family but Cheyeanne (that’s his wife) prepared very delicious food like inihaw na panga, sotanghon, fried chicken, pochero, maja blanca, ube rice and chocolate cake. Ummm… gilamian gyud mi ug kaon that’s why I’m very worried of my weight (i took my weight before eating and later check again after eating and I can’t belive it… I gained almost one kilo… huhuhu :(

It was a funny birthday because Kuya Russ is actually in Japan now (we had a celebration without the celebrant). But with the power of technology, he was able to join in the celebration through webcam in the internet and was even able to blow his birthday cake thru the net (wonder how we did it?!?…i’ll post a pic next time).

Happy birthday Kuya Russ!!! Wish you all the best in this world. :)
