Hey guys… I just want to share to you some helpful tips which I got from the Bible during my morning devotion yesterday. The author Jan D. enumerated 8 different activities that would give us a refreshing break. I agree when he said that nobody piles the pressure on us as well as we do in ourselves.

Hubby would scold me ;) because he said that I think and worry too much and that I put so much stress to my self (he’s right). Well I’ve heard that stress is the number one killer nowadays especially in this kind of world that we are living in… full of demands and pressures.

I suggest that we all try one or two of these refreshing activities.

1. Retreat for a day. Take a long walk, avoid noise and keep your schedule free and unhurried.

2. Make a list of things that give you pleasure. Remember how much joy God has put you in your work.

3. Surround your self with nature’s beauty.

4. Spend some time watching children.

5. Write a note of encouragement to someone.

6. Subtract one. Consider removing one outside responsibility from your list.

7. Change only one negative personal trait at a time.

8. Let go of a difficult memory.

One of the things that I love to do in life is travel. Every time there’s an opportunity and the finances is okay, I would travel. I enjoy exploring new places and experiencing different cultures and meeting people. Aside from the fun and thrill of the adventures I encounter, I also learn a lot from the many experiences I have in traveling.

The travels I had in Hongkong and Macau together with my hubby were so far the most memorable for me. It was the first time for me and Dabs as well to go outside the country. We had so much fun and adventures in those foreign lands.

It is my dream and wish that until the old age, hubby and I can explore more places in this beautiful world. I just hope that even if we reach the sunset in our lives, we can still travel and travel…would there be a travel insurance over 70 for us by that time? ;)

I got this tragic story from my cousin Bless which she posted in her multiply blog. I really felt sad after reading this one which is entitled “Jealous” (naalala ko tuloy ang tragic love story nina Romeo and Juliet na sinulat nman ni Shakespeare).

A boy

and a girl,

the best of friends.

From elementary to high school

from beginning to end.

Through all those years

their friendship grew.

They both felt the same,

but neither knew.

Each waking moment

since the day they met.

They both loved each other

sunrise to sunset.

He was all she had

He was the one

who kept her from her knife.

She was his angel,

she made him smile.

Though life threw him curves,

she made it all worth while.

Then one day

things went terribly wrong.

The next few weeks

were like a very sad song.

He made her jealous

on purpose he tried.

When the girl asked, “Do you love her?”

on purpose he lied.

He played with jealousy

like it was a game.

Little did he know

Things would never be the same.

His plan was working

but he had no clue.

How wrong things would go,

the damage he would do.

One night she broke down,

feeling very alone.

Just her and the blade,

no one else home.

She dialed his number,

he answered, “Hello”

She told him she loved him

and hung up the phone.

He raced to her house

just a minute too late.

Found her lying in blood,

her heart had no rate.

Beside her was a note,

in it her confession.

Her love for this boy,

her only obsession.

As he read the note,

he knelt down and cried.

Grabbed her knife,

that night they both died.

She was found in his arms,

both of them dead.

Under her note

his handwriting said:

“I loved her

so, she never knew.

All this time

I loved her

too.”

I’ve always wanted a pet dog, either a chihuahua or a pug. I told hubby that this Christmas, I want him to give me a dog as a gift (demanding ba? hehehe). Well my wish was granted early by Tatay David, my father-in-law. Last Sunday, he brought home a dog (I don’t know how old it is) and said it was a chihuahua. When I saw it, naawa ako sa dog ksi ang liit nya, super ikli ng buntot and I think chihuahua-looking lng sya. ;) Naisip ko agad, I’ll name him WAWA (ksi kawawa sya na chihuahua).

Look at Wawa… isn’t he kawawa?

At first, ayaw ni Dabs na iuwi namin sya sa bahay namin ksi takot daw ako sa dog :) at di daw ako marunong mag-alaga… huhuhu. But I told him that I will take care of Wawa and lalabanan ko ang fear ko sa dog. I will prove to hubby na kaya ko ito… go Liezl!

Cute ba ako?

So far so good naman… mabait si Wawa. Favorite nya pla ang Anchor fresh milk and he loves to eat biscuits din. Hopefully tomorrow mapaliguan na nmin sya (sana payag si Dabs na sya magpaligo, takot pa ako eh…hehehe).

Ayos ba ang porma ko pare?

Before our wedding last June, Nanay Phoebe (my mother-in-law) told Job and I that we can use one of their apartments here in Gensan (bongga talaga si nanay…hehehe) since we don’t have our own house yet. So we chose the one in Soriano Subdivison since it’s near the downtown area where the internet cafe of my husband is located.

After the wedding, we had the house painted (take note, we painted it ourselves and we chose the colors: red, pink, blue, green, yellow and white– sabi nga ni Job pra daw playschool bahay nmin…hehehe). Afterwards, inayos namin and I put some plants sa harap ksi malaki naman ang lawn namin.

Share ko lng sa inyo some pics which I took yesterday using hubby’s cellphone cam. Allow me to take you a tour of our bahay-bahayan. ;)

Well, that’s it. Hope you had great time touring our home sweet home! ;)

If your travel deals include stay at a new york hotel as well, you don’t have to worry about travel accessories. However if you had hotel reservations at a different place, say the orlando hotel, things would have been different.
