Hey guys… I just want to share to you some helpful tips which I got from the Bible during my morning devotion yesterday. The author Jan D. enumerated 8 different activities that would give us a refreshing break. I agree when he said that nobody piles the pressure on us as well as we do in ourselves.
Hubby would scold me
because he said that I think and worry too much and that I put so much stress to my self (he’s right). Well I’ve heard that stress is the number one killer nowadays especially in this kind of world that we are living in… full of demands and pressures.
I suggest that we all try one or two of these refreshing activities.
1. Retreat for a day. Take a long walk, avoid noise and keep your schedule free and unhurried.
2. Make a list of things that give you pleasure. Remember how much joy God has put you in your work.
3. Surround your self with nature’s beauty.
4. Spend some time watching children.
5. Write a note of encouragement to someone.
6. Subtract one. Consider removing one outside responsibility from your list.
7. Change only one negative personal trait at a time.
8. Let go of a difficult memory.
