Ika-3rd week na ng cooking class (Hot Kitchen) namin sa TESDA. Akala ko noon, luto-luto lng, strict pala ang TESDA. May sinusunod kasi sila na standard talaga. If you want to go abroad and get a job that requires skills, you need to get first a national competency certificate from TESDA. Uy, hindi din madali kasi mahirap ang assessment nila. Like in our commercial cooking class. Individually, we need to prepare six recipes in four hours. On the spot yan ha kaya di mo alam lulutuin mo during assessment plus wala pa talagang copy ng recipe. Good luck na lng sa akin sa darating na judgment day, hehe. Sana makapasa ako. :)

Finally, the week has ended…TGIF. It’s has been a full week coz we started our cooking demonstrations, as in we cook 2 dishes everyday. It was tiring yet full of fun and learning. On my next post, I’ll share to you some photos of our cooking class.

Finally, Chikai and James’ balikbayan boxes arrived safely in our house. We waited for more than two months for these boxes (malapit na kaming mawalan ng pag-asa, hehe). My brother Jam can’t wait to open it (coz Chikai’s instruction was for ME to do the ribbon-cutting, hehe). So this morning, he and my cousins opened the boxes and I just viewed the opening ceremony via webcam. :) Job and I are going to Davao this Monday to get our gifts. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH Chikai and James. Hoping for more balikbayan boxes, haha.

Finally, after more than two years of blogging, I’m able to change the theme/design of this blog site. As in I did it my self and I’m proud and happy of what I’ve done. Coz you know, in the past, I’ll always ask my sis Chikai to do it. At least I’m learning now. Thanks Dabs for teaching me.

The clock just strike 12 midnight…it’s February 12 and it’s my hubby’s 31st birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DABS!!! Last mo na sa kalendaryo, hehe. Today is a time of thanksgiving for God’s loving kindness and faithfulness in your life for the past 31 years. Thank you Lord for the life of Job and for the gift he is to us.

My macho-gwapitong Dabs

I plan to surprise Dabs with a simple celebration (hope he doesn’t read this now) this lunch. Well, it would be an exclusive family affair, just the three of us, hehe. :)

Galatians 6:9– Let us not get tired of doing what is right…for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t get discouraged and give up.

You read it right…I’m going back to school starting this Monday. I just enrolled my self in a non-formal education in TESDA this afternoon. It was a spur of the moment decision. My sis-in-law and I went to TESDA just to inquire about Saturday classes on baking. Unfortunately, the baking class already started last January. The officer-in-charge told us that they are still offering commercial cooking (hot kitchen class) but it’s an everyday class (Monday to Friday) from 5 to 9 PM for 24 sessions. I called hubby if he will allow me. At first he was hesitant because it’s an evening class and the school is quite far from our house. Good thing I was able to persuade him. Chey and I immediately filled up the enrollment form and gave our payment.

Well, good luck to us. I hope I will enjoy this new adventure and I’m hoping to learn more about cooking so that I can prepare more delicious food to hubby and Cache. :)
