I do love coffee (the aroma most specially) but I must admit that I’m not really a coffee-addict. I always have coffee in my pantry but I drink only like twice a week and when the weather calls for it (during cold and rainy days).

Few weeks ago, the SOCCSKSARGEN BLOGGERS (of which I am a proud member) were invited to grace the blessing and re-launching of the new and much improved Coffee Dream at KCC Mall (located at the second floor near the cinema). I immediately said yes to the invitation because I’m curious to the new offering of Coffee Dream to the Generals and I’m also excited to see again my fellow bloggers whom I haven’t seen for a couple of months.

Wearing my yellow SOX Blogger shirt, I was the first to arrive in Coffee Dream and I was warmly welcomed by the staff.   The first thing I noticed were the changes they made in their coffee shop.  The place is now more modern and hip using light colors plus there are paintings on the wall that add beauty to the shop.  I also liked the very unique lights that they used (looked like giants cottons). In our Q and A portion with the interior designer and the owner himself (Mr. Glenn Soco, hope I spelled his name correctly), we found out that the target market now of  Coffee Dream is the younger generation like the young professionals.  They also gave us a history of their coffee business and they are proud to say that their coffee beans are 100% locally produced (for me this is good as this will give more income to our coffee farmers).

During the chikahan period, we were made to taste their best selling coffees, chilled blends and pastries.  I ordered Fro Reo (a combination of coffee and Oreo) and it’s really yummy.  My fellow bloggers said that their drinks were equally delicious.  The muffins, cakes and cornbeef sandwich were also a heavenly treat to us.

At Coffee Dream, you have plenty to choose from at very reasonable prices.

Definitely, I will be back at Coffee Dream.  On my next visit, I will bring hubby so that he too can have the coffee dream experience.

(Special thanks to Mr. Arnel Bucoy Lim for these beautiful pictures)

Now that our daughter Cache is two years old (turning three next month), I realized and I can absolutely say that parenting is not an easy job.  It is indeed very challenging and it requires lots of love, understanding and patience.  I’ve read and heard about the experiences of  many parents when it comes to their kids.  A common experience is dealing with two and three year-old children.  Some would say that these stages are quite difficult because a child on these stages show some kind of  being “notorious”.  Experts explained that this is because toddlers of these ages are so eager to explore the world on their own that when they come up against a barrier (like mom and dad saying no) they react with intense negativity.  Babycenter.com also explains that there’s a growing burgeoning identity on the part of the child also, which encourages them to test their limits and define their wants and desires, and by their still-developing communication skills, which sometimes feel inadequate to their needs. So when kids these ages are mad or frustrated, which is often, they throw a tantrum.

Cache is like this these days.  When she doesn’t get what she wants, she would cry very loud, spank the nearest person to her and throw things.  I admit that there are times when I get angry especially when she gets very wild.  I always ask for the Lord’s guidance on how to deal with this kind of behavior and I also ask God to give me more love, understanding and patience in dealing with Cache. Experts and parents say that these terrible two’s and troublesome three’s are normal stages in the life of a child and it will just naturally go away.  But of course, the parents should always guide their kids and give the proper discipline so that they will grow into good and productive individuals.

Proverbs 22:6 –  Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
