Dabs and I had an adventure last night together with the SOCCSKSARGEN bloggers. Led by Bariles of Gensan News Online Mag, we invaded The Old South Resto and Grill Bar. Why it’s an adventure? Because tasting their food is like traveling to another country, particularly in the Middle East and Europe. The Old South serves Mediterranean cuisine plus a little Spanish cuisine as well. I guess it’s the only resto in Gensan that serves a variety of such kind of food. I find it a unique food-eating experience, different from the usual food we eat in restos.

We love to eat together…me, Dabs and the SOX bloggers plus Atty. Onie Baliao (the very accommodating owner of The Old South) and Diane (the lovely manager)

This is what I loved about The Old South, the beautiful place (Spanish villa type) and the romantic and relaxing ambiance…perfect for dates, family gatherings, barkada gimmicks, etc.

The past couple of weeks had been quiet stressful to me. With the month-end reports (including tax matter) that I need to accomplish in our internet cafe business, the death of my beloved Lola Pabing, preparing for Cache’s 3rd birthday in Davao, household stuff, etc., I can say I’m really stressed. I can say when it comes to grandparents, I am blessed. I’ve got loving lolos and lolas and I was given the opportunity to spend time with them. I also had wonderful childhood years because of them.  I love my Lolo Pati, Lolo Memong, Lola Tentay and Lola Pabing with all my heart.

Last Thursday (March 31), I bid goodbye to my dear Lola Pabing.  She’s already 80 years old.  I’m so thankful to God because I was able to see her few days before she passed away.  She still recognized me despite of her condition and I was able to kiss and hug her.  I love you Lola.

During Lola Pabing’s 80th birthday last October 30, 2010.  She was in tears because she was very happy.
