Sa wakas at makapag-update na rin ako especially tungkol sa baby namin na si Cache. Simula ksi ng maiuwi namin sya sa bahay last May 24 (after 40 days of confinement in the hospital), naging super busy na ang beauty ko. Hands-on ksi ako sa pag-aalaga, as in 24 hours talaga. Di pala ganun kadali ang mag-alaga, hehe…as in laging puyat ksi every 2 hours ang feeding. Pero kahit na mahirap, masaya naman kmi ksi at last everyday na namin makasama si Cache.
I’m finally going home…yehey!!!

Pagdating sa bahay, nagpa-family picture agad kmi. This is our first ever family pic:

I know this post is very late na ksi tagal ng tapos ang Mother’s Day celebration (malapit na nga ang Father’s Day). Anyway, I just want to share to you how I celebrated Mother’s Day. Syempre special sa akin ang araw na ito ksi first time mom ako so first time din to celebrate this occasion. Umaga pa lng dami na nag-greet sa akin at send ng beautiful messages about mothers. Kahit that time di pa namin kasama ang aming little girl na si baby Cache, hubby made sure to make this day special for me. Guess what? He surprised me with a gift delivered by LBC na galing pa Gensan…sweet talaga ni Dabs!
Happy Mother’s Day to me

Few days ago, an eye specialist conducted a check-up on Cache’s eyes as requested by her pediatrician. You see, common to prematures babies is developing an eye problem. The eye doctor found out that our baby Cache has Stage 1 Retinopathy of Prematurity. I was really worried after receiving the sad news. When I got home, I immediately researched about it and here’s what I found out:
What is Retinopathy of Prematurity?
Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is a potentially blinding eye disorder that primarily affects premature infants weighing about 2¾ pounds (1250 grams) or less that are born before 31 weeks of gestation (A full-term pregnancy has a gestation of 38–42 weeks). The smaller a baby is at birth, the more likely that baby is to develop ROP. This disorder—which usually develops in both eyes—is one of the most common causes of visual loss in childhood and can lead to lifelong vision impairment and blindness. ROP was first diagnosed in 1942.
When I talked to Cache’s pediatrician, he told me not to worry too much because many babies who have stage 1 ROP improve with no treatment and eventually develop normal vision. The disease resolves on its own without further progression. Hay…sana nga ganito mangyari kay Cache, we are really praying na ma-heal na mga eyes ng baby namin. Her eye doctor will conduct a repeat test tomorrow and after that Cache will be under observation for two to three weeks.
Anyway, I’d like to share to you a photo of Cache. This is her first captured smile taken by Tita Chikai.
I’m happy

Baby Cache turns one month old today and we thank God for her first month birthday. If you have a preemie baby, every single day really counts. That is why Job and I are very happy because our baby reached this day and she is doing well.
Look at me, I’m smiling…it’s my birthday today!

Job and I visited baby Cache in the hospital and she was sleeping soundly.
